I am about 6' and 172 pounds and XL fit me well. The helmet is made out of plastic. Note that the shield is not removable. I am pretty impressed and my friends like it too. I can repeat use this Halloween as well, if I don't find any other costume that I would like. I like the red ranger as well, however it was more expensive, will keep looking for a nice deal.
