Venom Vs. Carnage Is an Epic Battle Between Costumes!
Marvel
Venom is no doubt one of the most iconic Marvel villains of all time and for good reason. His multiple battles with Spider-Man throughout the years have become some of the most memorable moments in the comics and ever since the very first Spider-Man film was announced, fans have clamored to see a great Venom on the big screen. What we got instead in Spider-Man 3 however was a subpar rendition of the legendary villain and we haven’t seen him since. Fast forward today and Spider-Man’s movie rights have gone back to Marvel Studios and it is now a key part in the MCU. Sony, however still retains some of the movie rights and they apparently have a Venom solo movie in development. While there isn’t much information as of now, we do know that Fantastic 4 director Josh Trank is in the lead to direct the film and we may see one of Venom’s arch enemies!
Venom Vs. Carnage Would Be Amazing!
Marvel
While Venom is not exactly a superhero, he still has a sense of morality. He typically only kills those who he feels deserve to be killed, but Carnage is a totally different story. Carnage was originally supposed to be a replacement to Eddie Brock’s Venom but the character’s overwhelming popularity blocked any attempt of that. Carnage is a total psychopath; he has no sense of morality or mercy for anyone. Carnage literally wreaks havoc on anyone and everyone no matter who they may be. Their intense rivalry led to some of the greatest storylines in all of comics and is still a fan favorite to this day. There is no doubt that both of these characters have amazing costumes, but who wins the battle? While both are different in their own ways, there has to be a winner!
Venom Has the Classic Black Symbiote Suit!
Marvel
Venom is created by the symbiote, which is a alien life form that consumes the body of someone and takes control. Originally, Peter Parker stumbled upon the symbiote in Secret Wars #8 and the Black Spidey suit was born. It wasn’t until Peter Parker realized what the symbiote did that he got rid of it, not knowing that it would reach Eddie Brock and create Venom. There were instantly big differences in Venom and Symbiote Spider-Man. First off, Venom is absolutely huge due to the symbiote. Secondly, a giant grin and huge teeth form on Eddie Brock’s face, giving him the iconic Venom look.
Venom’s costume has always been a personal favorite of mine. It had the sleekness of the Spider-Man suit without the bright colors. The black suit with spider design perfectly fits who the character is and it will definitely go down as one of the best ever!
Carnage Definitely Gives Venom A Run For His Money!
Marvel
Carnage is much different from both Venom and Spider-Man. Carnage’s real name is Cletus Kasady and is a complete psychopath and serial killer. So disturbed that as a child he killed his own grandmother by pushing her down a flight of stairs and tortured the family dog. His mother tried to kill him but his father beat her to death to protect him and Kasady gave his father no defense in court. After this, he went on an insane serial killing spree and was sent to Riker’s Island where he met Eddie Brock, who was separated from the symbiote. The two shared a cell together while the symbiote came and re-joined Brock. Unknown to Brock, the symbiote left its offspring in the cell which bonded with Kasady and the killings began. Right off the bat you can see that this guy is a monster, and his costume definitely illustrates that. Straying away from the trademark spider on the chest design, Carnage’s suit is red with black streaks throughout. You also notice the webs of symbiote that fly around him at all times, which just adds so much fear to his opponents. While both, his and Venom’s costume are total opposites, there is no doubt that Carnage’s costume just brings a much higher level of intimidation. Carnage has the perfect costume for his ruthless personality, it’s obvious just by taking a look at him that he will kill you and not hesitate to do so. Honestly, one of the most badass costumes of all time and in my opinion the most under rated in all of comics.
So Who Wins, Venom or Carnage?
Marvel
This is a question that has been debated for years. Both Venom and Carnage have some extremely iconic costumes in the Marvel Comics Universe. Venom has perhaps become the most popular anti-hero of all time and his popularity only continues to grow. Carnage is still continuing to grow in popularity and was ranked 90th on IGN’s Top 100 Comic Villains. Both of these costumes are awesome in their own ways. With Venom, we have the classic, sleek black suit that really shows off his stealthiness. He will stalk you and then attack, but Carnage however is a different story. Carnage does not stalk, he does not wait for his prey, he just attacks and his costume is definitely a reflection of that. He means business and he doesn’t care who tries to stand in his way. In the end, however, there can only be one winner, and who will it be?
And The Winner Is…CARNAGE!
Marvel
Yes, it may be controversial due to how amazing of a character Venom is and his popularity, but there is just something about Carnage that I have always loved. As a kid reading the comics, I was genuinely terrified of Carnage; his costume gave me nightmares and I think he has the more complex suit. This is not to take anything away from Venom, I still love his costume and it is one of the greatest of all time. Carnage’s costume is so detailed, hard to draw and mesmerizing, it has to come away with the title! This is just my personal opinion but I think there is no denying the greatness of both costumes; both are pretty terrifying in their own ways!
