During the busy Halloween season, Wonder Costumes took part in many media appearances. People heard about Miami’s biggest costume store from coast to coast. One of those media moments that stood out was a radio tour we had with Fox News Radio. We appeared on a bunch of Fox Radio syndicates across the nation on October 14th.

Mermaids are some of the most alluring mythical creatures because of their beauty (from the waist up).  They make for great romantic movies and and little girls love them--especially The Little Mermaid.  The same way that they make great movie characters, Mermaids also make for great costumes. For Halloween, birthday parties or just for fun, mermaid costumes enchant little girls into believing they are no doubt, under the sea.  Mermaids are indeed mesmerizing, but just remember, they may be just as magical to fish.

So, let us continue with the superhero theme with another popular character - the Amazing Spiderman!  Have you ever wondered why they feel it necessary to call him the “Amazing” Spiderman? The guy climbs walls, shoots webs out of his hands, and catches crooks. Isn’t the “amazing” implied? They're yellow, they're cute, and they're back with their very own self-titled movie -- Minions! The adorable, one-eyed aliens made famous by Disney's "Despicable Me" are without masters and get the bright idea to head over to Villain-Con in search of a worthy boss. Enter Scarlet Overkill, an ambitious villainess with an eye set on world domination! Mayhem and hilarity ensues, and 2015's Minions is sure to be one of the summer's hottest films. Extremely popular with children and adults alike, the bumbling, pint-sized minions have become pop culture icons.

Monkey costumes for toddlers and babies are absolutely adorable; they are a top choice in Halloween outfits among parents (not babies) because they get to indulge in the extreme cuteness. The pairing of a baby and a chimp is a recipe for sweetie pie that will melt the hearts of those in proximity. Mickey Mouse costumes are as popular as Walt Disney himself.  Even in the most remote areas of the world, Mickey Mouse is an icon that children adore and revere as their animated hero.  Your child will look adorable and feel “magical” in a Mickey Mouse Costume.  Halloween is the perfect time for every child to step in the shoes of his/her favorite Disney character, so make sure you create a special day around their costume.  This means making costume preparations ahead of time.  You may find the perfect costume online or you can always have one custom made by a professional--unless you are a wiz with a sewing machine.

Little girls love wearing their Mermaid costumes on Halloween. These beautiful and mystical creatures dwell in the abyss where they have a splashing good time interacting with other sea creatures--that may not be known for their communication with humans. Stories about these enchanting creatures used to surface (no pun) from seafarers who traveled the oceans and claimed to have witnessed beautiful mermaids sitting on rocks with the sunset as a backdrop.  In modern days, stories have also influenced the way that people perceive mermaids.  Stories like "The Little Mermaid" or the live-action movie, "Splash," have inspired girls all over the world to attempt to look like these magical beings.  Ariel, in the heart-warming Disney movie, is featured as a mermaid who explores the ocean with her two friends, Sebastian and Flounder, but grows a strong desire to have legs to walk the earth's surface among humans--lovely story with a magical ending (you must see it for yourself).  It is no wonder why little girls clamor for Mermaid Costumes after seeing the Little Mermaid movie.  There are many mermaid costumes for your child to choose from, such as the mermaid tail dress or even dragging fin costumes. Some of these outfits even expand at the tail, giving the optical illusion of real fins.
