A true patriotic citizen has to stand for what their country means to them.  Patriots have to know the true way of their origins and wear it like a badge.  We see patriots fight for our country, volunteer for charities, eat a burger or just plainly kicking butt inside the pages of a comic wearing prideful patriotic costumes.  These comic book heroes have shared their stories with readers and are a witness for what it is like to be a true patriotic citizen.   While patriotic costumes typically represent the real heroes or figures in American history, fictional comic book superheroes are symbolic of the American spirit as well.  In celebration of 4th of July, we have come up with the top five patriotic comic book superheroes and their iconic America themed suits.

We are four months away from Halloween, and yet, Horror films are inundating my social media feeds as if it were here.  As I woke up this morning and checked my Facebook, my News Feed was bombarded by one news and one news only – The Conjuring 2 had successfully managed to secure a spinoff for its demonic nun titled, well, The Nun.

Shopping for dad’s Father’s Day gift can be a simple task for most.  After all, Father’s Day takes a backseat to Mother’s Day and even (most) dads will tell you that they don’t have high expectations for the holiday; they will settle for “a little respect,” according to a survey conducted by Today.com in 2012.  It’s 2016, but it is likely that dads still feel the same.  Maybe, a great way to show dad that you really care and respect him is by giving him a gift that shows that you truly know him or at least one that represents how you feel about him.  You wouldn’t think that costume store is the best place to find the perfect Father’s Day gift, but you’d be surprised at the hidden gems that you can find in our vast inventory of novelty costumes, props and clever accessories.  A few weeks ago, the Huffington post picked up our Super Dad costume to feature in a 2016 guide to weird Father’s Day Gifts.

Dressing up for Halloween or cosplay events seems like pure leisure, but costuming has become so popular among working adults, it was inevitable for costumes to make their way into professional settings.  This blog was supposed to be about costume aficionados and their favorite outfits of all time.  We sought out costumers willing to share pictures of the outfits they are most proud of and asked them to tell us about the events they attended.  We expected responses from cosplay geeks and obsessed Halloweeners sharing pictures of their appearances at comic-cons or posing at Halloween parties as their favorite characters.  Although we did get a few of those, we received submissions from professionals with very cool jobs or businesses, and the events they attended were mainly work related.  Sorry for this one, [non-working] cosplay Geeks!  These folks are much more interesting right now and they are paving the road for you to be able to wear your geek badge proudly at work someday.
