X-Men: Dark Phoenix was released Friday, June 7 and it centers around one of the most famous and heart wrenching stories from the X-Men comics. The Dark Phoenix Saga goes into Jean Grey's absorption of the Phoenix Force and how it begins to consume her, turning her into quite possibly, the most powerful X-Men character.  The Dark Phoenix Saga takes many dark turns as Jean Grey goes from being a sweet telekinetic/telepathic superhero to a being torn apart with a live evil inside her. One of the X-Men costumes that reveals a major change in the new film is Storm's costume, as seen in the photo above. This is what Storm actor, Alexandra Shipp, had to say about what the director Simon Kinberg wanted with the new X-Men costumes in the film: 'What I loved about it was with this movie, Simon really wanted to play things more natural and have it be more darker and muted tones,'. It's obvious that the X-Men costume designs are going to be designed to match the environment of the film as all great superhero costumes do.
