SuperCon: The King of the Comic-Cons

With the various events this convention has to offer, it's no surprise how big the turnout is. Florida Supercon is the LARGEST Comic-Con in Miami. There's one man to thank: Mike Broder, the host of this convention along with many others. Mike has hosted up to five conventions in one year. Broder is also host of Animate!. Florida Supercon focuses on comic books, anime,animation, video games, fantasy, sci-fi, and pop culture. Supercon usually takes place sometime before, during, or after Fourth of July weekend. This year it takes place from July 3-6 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Supercon offers a variety of events ranging from cosplay costumes contests to film fests. It creates an nerdy environment where many can geek out!

What attracts attendees? Could it be the tv stars? The comic book writers? The correct answer is everything. There is something for any type of fan to enjoy. Once you walk in to any one of these events, you are greeted with a plethora of costumes from different animes and movies. As many have expressed before, cosplaying is a chance for them to escape the boring everyday routine, it's their chance to become the character they so deeply admire. In addition, it's an in your face indication as to which fandom you are a part of. As we all know well, we click with people we have common interests with. It's a chance to earn the reorganization of peers once you win the best costume of the entire contest. You can rock the cosplaying and costume portion with costumes we offer including characters from the Avengers, Star Wars, Assassin's Creed, and even Frozen.

Since Supercon is in fact the largest Comic-Con in Miami, it has to have the best and most guest, quality AND quantity. The guests come from different fields such as: media, comic, video games, cosplay, and entertainment. This year's most expected guests included Jason Momoa and Esme Bianco from the highly acclaimed Games of Thrones series. Others include: the cast of the Spartacus, Arrow, and Power Rangers. As well as comic book fans who can't wait to meet the creator of their favorite series. To those hardcore cosplayers there's a chance to meet the cosplaying royalty. Whether you walk in with a full bought costume or a unique handmade one, this is an event you won't want to miss. There are special "Meet and Greet"; panels as well as Q&A ones. You can take a picture with your favorite characters, get their signature, or even have pictures taken of you which will later be posted on their website. In addition, there's a Florida Super Championship Wrestling that takes place each of the four days; it's one of the best attended events. Who would not want to see different heroes and villains battle it out for the FSCW championship belt? Any way you look at it, Florida Supercon has something for everyone, its an event you don't want to miss!
