Angel Costumes: Your Not-So-Halloween Costume

Angel costumes are, surprisingly, among the most popular Halloween costumes of choice every year.  You may have seen a handful of trick-or-treaters around your neighborhood dressed in outfits that totally antagonize the spirit or Halloween, but now-a-days, Halloween is not all about spooky themes and gore. Angels give Halloween enthusiasts the opportunity to be something elegant and charming,  Women especially, like to dress up with the intention of mesmerizing everyone in sight, and angel outfit provide that opportunity.  Of course, angel costumes can have a naughty side.  Looking sexy is one of the reasons many party goers dress up for Halloween, so costume manufacturers have created special costumes with less fabric and more glam.  So while the streets during Halloween are crowded with innocent angels, you may notice leagues of Dark fallen angel costumes showing some skin.  If you plan on being an angel, you may want to consider your intentions before making a choice.  Not every angel may fit your purpose, so you really want to define your goal.

Halloween night has a different meaning for different people, so consider that depending on where you are going, you may be perceived as offensive if wearing the wrong outfit.  For example, if you are just going trick-or-treating with your kids, you may want to stay away from sexy costume.  This will obviously not settle well with the neighboring parent.  Sexy angels are better off at clubs or Victoria Secret catalogs.  If you are attending a church-alternative to Halloween event, then it goes without saying that a dark angel costume is completely out of place.  You would offend many and even risk getting escorted out of the event.  The safest bet not matter where you go is to dress up as a traditional angel--you know, the all white robe, golden halo and fluffy white wings.  You can probably accessorize it with some light jewelry, add a pair of white slippers or heels, light makeup, and you will be the prettiest angel around.  Try this alternative and you will be welcomed no matter where you go.  Event at the club, you'll be admired for choosing elegance over raunchiness.
